Maestro Pugno, LN unchained monk, L4
human, 23yrs, 5’8”, 170lbs, Italianesque black hair and goatee, soft brown eyes, smooth olive skin, “Those who can. Do. Those who can’t. Teach.”
Born in Absalom among slum denizens, Pugno [poongyo] grew up begging in the streets and practicing a rudimentary trade that eventually blossomed into crafting weapons under the tutelage of his maternal uncle Fabio.
Early in life Pugno was a victim – easy prey for those stronger or cleverer – beating him when they could and used him for their sport. This abuse nursed a powerful flame of vengeance. After years at the forge made him strong and he had learned the arts of combat, Pugno retaliated by publicly humiliating one of those scoundrels. He did this in the pursuit of justice, but has mixed feelings about it – sometimes regretting the conflict, but other times feels as if he didn’t have a choice in the matter or that he made the right decision. Most of the time, he just avoids thinking about the conflict. Only Pugno and maybe a select few people know of his involvement.
The craftsperson he worked for was one of his major influences, and cherished perfection in every form of art. From this person Pugno developed a disciplined mind, a solitary focus, and the ability to create beautiful and useful things. This craft master of art introduced him to another master of arts – the martial arts, and Pugno eventually became the sole student of this great master. He rose to prominence early and received secret training in an art that is rare and exotic. Having achieved a strong foundation in the physical and metaphysical elements of this martial art, he has been designated the lore keeper for its history and traditions, and must now find a new student or students to train. It was from this master that Pugno also learned to revere and worship Irori, the Master of Masters and the god of enlightenment and self-perfection.
Despite this, Pugno has worked hard to establish his identity and reputation, and someone who slanders or insults him must answer for it. He strives to promote his identity to the point where everyone knows his reputation. You gain access to the
